Cubic Inc is seeking for a senior environmental/hydrogeological engineer to help shape the future of the environmental services group in our USA office.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare cost estimates and proposals for a variety of clients and sectors;
  • Prepare, oversee and approve Phase I and Phase II, Environmental Site Assessment Reports;
  • Preparing hydrogeology reports, preparing PTTW applications for dewatering;
  • Develop and manage environmental field programs;
  • Familiar with site remediation activities and monitoring;
  • Manage project schedule and budgets;
  • Assist clients with obtaining Ministry Instruments;
  • Lead and direct a small team of technicians and environmental scientists/engineers;
  • Supervise, train and mentor junior/intermediate staff; and,
  • Progressive interaction with clients including developing and maintaining client contacts.
Qualifications
  • Currently registered, or eligible for registration with Professional Engineers (PE) or Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.);
  • Post-graduate degree in a Geo-Environmental related discipline such as Hydrogeology or Civil/Environmental Engineering;
  • Geotechnical or Earth Science degree is considered an asset; and,
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Geo-Environmental field.
Desirable Skills And Assets
  • Experience with and knowledge of contaminated sites and environmental projects
  • Experience in Geotechnical Engineering and/or Hydrogeology considered an asset;
  • Demonstrated past performance in Project Management;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal and presentation skills;
  • Must be comfortable in the field on construction/environmental project sites;
  • Must be able to participate in business development activities and generate project leads;
  • A high level of proficiency with current software applications;
  • Familiar with Federal and Provincial Environmental Legislation and Permits;
  • Ability to work independently in various environments; and,
  • Valid Australia Driver’s License, G Level.
