Responsibilities

• Provide construction inspection and quality control/assurance testing for various infrastructure and transportation projects
• Conduct field compaction testing of soils
• Carry out laboratory testing on soils and concrete
• Carry out field concrete testing as per CSA requirements
• Conduct pile construction monitoring for driven steel and cast-in-place concrete piles
• Liaise with project engineers and client’s site representatives
• Willing to travel to construction sites

Qualifications

• Completion of a College program in Civil Engineering Technology
• 1 to 2 year work experience in the field of construction materials testing
• Registration with OACETT or immediate eligibility
• Concrete Testing Certificate from CCIL is an asset

• Strong computer skills (i.e. spreadsheet and word-processing)
• Proficiency with spoken and written English is required
